Archival footage has a complex relationship to the present: what we see and what we believe we see can be two different things. This hybrid combines archival documentary modes of expression with comedic fiction, playing with audience expectations and re-writing American and Yugoslav space travel history at the interplay between conspiracy theory and the nostalgia for a past when anything seemed possible, for better or worse.
