A gang rape and its ripple effects over the years is the starting point for this emotional, empathetic meditation on sports culture in small-town American high schools, on consent before and after #MeToo, and on our own chances of growing past trauma. Edited with the help of Erin Casper, a 2017 fARAD Lab mentor and editor of last year’s selection Risk, and directed by a rape survivor turned feminist tech and privacy activist, this brave film is surprisingly complicated, intelligent, and even comic at times.
