In the dusty streets of Kinshasa, Congo, a group of fascinating artists are creating art on, and for, the street. Using recycled materials, these artists are bringing sculptures, paintings and performances into the public spaces, conveying political messages that deal with the exploitation, the privatization of water, their personal or national traumas and their country’s history. In his documentary, Barret shows us Kinshasa as the stage of a vibrant subculture that makes art accessible to all.
