A lyrical film essay that silently observes the construction workers that build a skyscraper in Beirut, who are by and large Syrian refugees that saw their own places destroyed. The view from the skyscrapers over the city and the sea alternates with archive footage showing a building collapsing after a bombardment, letting us know about these men's traumatic past. An empathetic encounter with people in exile, locked in the recurring present, mediated through breathtaking cinematography and a masterful retake on the Soviet montage of attractions.
